Thanks to continuous development and research, Smart has managed to further improve its already award-winning HYBRID technology for tanning lamps with Collagen.
In fact, for the first time Smart has introduced a LED Hybrid line, in other words with COLLAGEN LED lamp technology
LEDs are a far superior technology than fluorescent.The advantage respect fluorescent emitters are mainly 3:
- Consumption
The entire LED part in LED Hybrid takes a consumption of about 500 watt. Before, when we used the fluorescent technology in Hybrid units, to have the same coverage we had a power consumption of about 4000 watt
- Focus and Efficiency
With fluorescent technology the emission is a broad band around 630 nm. LEDs emit only on the wavelenght that have biological effect. All medical studies about redlight reports effect on 630 nm, not on other frequencies.
This means that all the energy you use is not converted in spectrum that are useless.

Also, not only the electricity convert all in the right frequency, but also, the conversion between electricity and light is a lot more efficient.This means that the electricity is converted in light, and not in heat (that is useless and not comfortable)

All this consideration are valid also against high pressure technology for collagen. In fact, Smart used booth technologies in PLATINUM and in Y6000F.
But soon Smart will going to dismiss all that because LED is far superior in every way.
At the moment we sell most of the units as LED Hybrid, with fluorescent technology for UV, that is still very very expensive and difficult to make for tanning, and COLLAGEN LED.
